A new survey by MyFitnessPal says that fad diets on TikTok are harming Millennials and Gen Z youth who try them. According to the study, about 87 percent of TikTok users in that age group turn to the social media platform for health advice, and it’s leading to some disturbing eating habits. Some of them even include eating dog food for extra protein.
NTD spoke with Leisa Hart, a healthy living expert and lifestyle coach, who says young people “allow these TikTok influencers to become just these gods to them, where they believe anything that they say. And that is unfortunate on so many different levels.”
